TUG ON MY HEART

June 27, 2008: A Day To Remember!

"Sometimes you just wake up and you feel a tug on your HEART to do something that the Lord is prompting you to respond to."

We'll as I mentioned to you all before about how John and I were going down to Monterey to the Monterey Blues festival. John was able to get a ride down to Monterey before me so he could work the first set on Friday afternoon and I could leisurely take my way down to Monterey that evening.

All day I felt like the Lord was calling me to take my time and spend it in prayer and reflect on what I had been learning in my classes that I was taking at our church on Missional classes. I remember all day that there was an exciting exhibit at a neighbor church here in Fremont... called the World Vision Experience: On AIDS. (World Vision Experience: AIDS)

I was really moved by the Spirit of God ... to go and see this exhibit. I remember calling several friends to see if they wanted to go ... but it was the last minute. So I felt like God was calling me out of my comfort zone and to just go and see what the Lord why calling me to go to see this experience.

It was truly life changing. I am so thankful that I responded to the Lord and went to it. It was truly a confirmation about what I have been study in my classes and what are ways that I could respond to God's call in my life. I have a passion to serve children and families of all backgrounds. You see I am a teacher and I serve children from all kinds a backgrounds and it was truly eye opening to learn about children with AIDS in foreign countries. My brother and his wife went to Africa early this year. And they hiked Kilimanjaro. And traveled around Africa. My brother has some amazing photos from there... check out his www site if you are interested in pictures... http://www.boartsphotography.com/new/mbboarts/. I hope each of you will have an opportunity to go check out this exhibit or have a chance to read about this project. It will truly bless you. If not check out the www site... World Vision Experience: AIDS.

We had blast working at the Blues Festival. It was amazing to see BB King... what a Legend he is. Also, we had a great time catching up with John's uncle and his family ... since they were visiting from London. I hope you all had a wonderful 4th of July. My husband and I had a great one. We spent sometime with some friends and spent sometime in San Francisco. Have a great day. Remember that Lord has promises for you all. Have a wonderful week.

Stay tuned... for the next chapter.

Blues Festival

Greetings Family & Friends,

It's that time a year again when John and I work the annual Monterey Blues Festival. To promote Music Education in the local schools and it is also something that John and I hold dear to our hearts since we both are teachers. This will be our FIFTH year doing it. It's becoming an annual tradition in our household. It a chance for us to get away for the weekend and kick off the summer. This year we have a treat because the legendary BB King will be performing. So we both are super pumped about that. We hope you all are doing well.

Three Weeks Later & I Can Only Imagine

Good Evening All!

I can hardly believe that it has been THREE weeks since the passing of my GRANDMA. (My GRANDMA Toots or Tootsie or Claire). I was just thinking of the song that was presented to me on the day that my Grandma passed from the church (St. Andrews Presbyterian Church in Redondo Beach) that I attended the Sunday she passed. I remember to vividly what happened to me when she had passed. I went to make a last minute call to my Dad ask for a last minute status about my Grandma. And my Dad mentioned that she had passed at 5:27pm on June 1st. I was sitting in my seat in on the plane to head back to San Jose. And I was thinking of this song that I heard at church. And I remember saying to myself that I Can Only Imagine what it must have been like for my Grandma that was right on the edge of the steps before our Lord. And what he must be asking her. My Grandma was Jewish. I on unsure if she ever accepted our Lord but I do know that she died in Peace and that was my prayer when I was visiting her and being with my Mom. I ask you to continue to pray for my family during this time. It's been very hard on all of us.

I Can Only Imagine By Mercy Me

"I can only imagine what it will be like, when I walk by Your side...I can only imagine, what my eyes will see, when Your Face is before me!I can only imagine. I can only imagine.
Surrounded by Your Glory, what will my heart feel? Will I dance for you, Jesus? Or in awe of You, be still? Will I stand in Your presence, or to my knees will I fall? Will I sing 'Hallelujah!'? Will I be able to speak at all?I can only imagine! I can only imagine!
I can only imagine, when that day comes, when I find myself standing in the Son!I can only imagine, when all I will do, is forever, forever worship You!I can only imagine! I can only imagine!
Yeah! I can only imagine!
Yeah! I can only imagine!

Peace to you all,
Kori
